Description:
Trench. A long, shallow and overgrown trench winding around to the south-west. There is an alcove dug into a corner near artefact F618 (SRD ceramic sherd). Thick vegetation of dwarf oak etc. (spiney trees?) and some rhododendron. The trench has more steeply sloped sides from this point onwards. Dimensions here are 260cm wide at the top, 160cm wide at the base, and 75cm deep. There is a sharp dip before this trench joins another trench, F574. (Field photos, 78-81, the ranging pole is placed in the trench (F574) behind at a lower level.)
