Description:
Large metal container x 9 fragments, ferrous oxidation. Fragment 1: Weld line on wall of tin; 14.0 x 13.0cm; weld 14.0cm long; wall 11.0cm; rim 0.3cm high. Fragment 2: Rim lip. Connected to top rim of can when found but broken in transit; 25.0 x 0.3cm thick. Fragments 3-9: Flat metal fragments. Frag. 3: 18.0 x 8.7cm. Frag. 4: 14.5 x 11.4 x 0.3cm rim. Frag. 5: 15.6 x 10.5cm. Frag. 6: 12.5 x 7.2cm. Frag. 7: 9.6 x 8.6cm. Frag. 8: 8.6 x 5.7cm. Frag. 9: 3.6 x 2.7cm. Found with other artefacts in the historic shelters (farm building ruins) south of Lone Pine (F658).
