Description:
Two wire segments, metal with ferrous oxidation. Segment 1: Two metal wire strands crimped together. Crimp is single band. 60cm long (strand 1); 50cm long (strand 2); diam. 0.3cm; crimp 1.0 x 0.8 x 0.6cm. Segment 2: Single strand. Crimp attached. Second wire absent. Telegraph wire. 60cm x diam. 0.3cm; crimp is 1.0 x 0.8 x 0.6 cm. This was found in the remains of small, rural historic structures south of Lone Pine Cemetery. A series of features (F658, F659) that appear to be 20th century structures, perhaps small buildings used for periodic occupation. There were many clusters artefacts in the area of Feature 658.
