Description:
ends looking towards Russels Top Trench. Narrow, with steep sides, well-defined. Varied character in some sections. Thick vegetation of medium height (holly and rhododendron). Heads north uphill from junction with F1019 and becomes more eroded with lower, scrubbier vegetation. Leaf litter covering trench. There are several junctions with other trenches: trench F1031 heading NW; trench F1022 heading north. There are large stones in the trench halfway along. The trench ends in a position overlooking a gully (possibly Reserve Gully) and Russell's Top..From here you can see the Sphinx, and all of Walker's Ridge up to the Nek then all the way around to Johnston's Jolly.
