Description:
Trench. Medium width and depth with sloping sides. There is a good section of trench wall preserved on one side, approx. 1m high. Vegetation surrounding the trench is thick - rhododendrons, holly/oak, thorn bushes. The trench character varies and is wide and eroded in places. Extends from the modern path and is probably the continuation of trench F1029 (trench is significantly disturbed by the path). There is a junction with a trench heading west downhill then this trench erodes out (not surveyed with DGPS). There is a second junction or possibly a strategic position close to the first. There are views down the gully to the coast/beach. This trench ends in a wider area with dugouts and then there is the modern path to Plugge's Plateau Cemetery.
