Description:
Pliers/wire cutters. Ferrous oxidation. One arm remains intact, 16.1cm in length. The tool was fused in the open position, with 2.1cm between the cutting/working blades. The central pin/rivet holding the two arms together was discernible. Heavily corroded. Part of artefact cache (F871) - all metal artefacts. Located under a bush on southern side of the New Zealand track amongst thick vegetation.
