Description:
Bullet, unexpended. Brass or copper alloy with pale greenish oxidation on both bullet tip and cartridge. There is a slight bend in cartridge. Bullet protrudes from cartridge by 0.5cm. Bullet: round-nosed, bronze-coloured with some pale green oxidation: 1.45cm long x 0.78cm diameter. Cartridge case: bronze-coloured metal with pale green oxidation, 5.6cm long x 0.87cm diameter at the top, 1.18cm diameter at the base above the flange, flange at base is 1.35cm diameter. The headstamp is visible on the base in Latin letters and numerals: 'C A C / VI / 2 15'. Located on eroded ground on the side of the New Zealand track.
