Description:
Shrapnel. Exploded shell casing. Thick, heavy metal fragment with ferrous oxidation. Found in an area of Turkish front line trenches. Dimensions after conservation (now in two fragments): larger fragment 21.6 x 6.4 x 1.35cm thick; smaller fragment 17.5 x 5.45 x 1.35cm thick.
